THE 'RECLAIMED' GARDEN

With a family now grown up the swimming pool had fallen into disuse and this part of the garden was closed up and had been almost forgotten.

The design for this scheme ‘reclaimed’ this lost area to create a beautiful space with a natural stone water feature, brick and timber pergola and a circular lawn framed by a series of arches supporting fragrant climbers.

Careful siting of a new small seating area allows views  between the two areas of garden.  The link between old and new is reinforced with the use of complementary hard landscaping and repetition of planting.

The old mangle becomes a focal point in the new garden, glimpsed through a shimmering veil of  Verbena bonariensis teamed with the Zebra striped grass Miscanthus Zebrinus

A child friendly water feature was chosen to allow the clients grand children to enjoy the new garden in safety.
